驻冲绳美军士兵因试图性侵致人受伤被判处七年监禁
日本冲绳那霸地方法院以性侵罪名判处一名22岁美国海军陆战队员七年监禁。
共同社报道，日本冲绳那霸地方法院星期二（6月24日）以“非自愿性交致人受伤罪”，判处驻冲绳美国海军陆战队队员克莱顿（Jamel Clayton）七年监禁。
报道称，克莱顿去年5月26日在冲绳县读谷村从背后勒住一名女性脖颈试图实施性侵，但未能得逞，造成受害者双眼受伤。法官说，克莱顿的行为极其危险、恶劣，可能危及受害者生命。
另据日本时事社报道，被告否认性侵意图和使用暴力，声称自己无罪，考虑对判决提起上诉。
长期以来，驻日美军犯罪高发。据冲绳县统计，1972年至2023年间，驻日美军及家属在冲绳共涉及约6200起刑事案件，其中不乏杀人、强奸、抢劫等恶性案件。
