美国总统特朗普与俄罗斯总统普京通了两小时电话，未能在乌克兰问题上取得突破。特朗普在通话后放弃了旨在迫使俄罗斯在乌克兰停火的威胁，他强调俄乌必须“直接协商”，并转而关注未来与莫斯科进行经济合作的可能性。
《纽约时报》报道，特朗普星期一（5月19日）上午10时（新加坡时间19日晚上10时）与普京通电话，特朗普所公开的通话内容比普京的版本要积极得多，普京只提到“未来可能达成的和平协议”。
特朗普通话后在社媒平台Truth Social发文，称“俄罗斯和乌克兰将立即开始谈判以达成停火，更重要的是结束战争。”

Only admins can post in Broadcast Groups, but everyone can read along and participate in group Voice Chats," Telegram added.
