U Mobile与华为及中兴合作 部署马国5G基础设施
马来西亚电信公司U Mobile宣布，它将与中国华为技术有限公司及中兴通讯股份有限公司（ZTE Corp）合作，部署马国第二个第五代通信网络（5G）基础设施。
《东方日报》引述《The Edge》的报道说，U Mobile主席陈志远说，华为将负责西马的5G网路部署工作，而中兴则负责东马地区。
“华为和中兴一直是U Mobile的长期基础设施合作伙伴，拥有全球部署的成功经验。因此，我们期待能够共同推动业务发展。”
U Mobile于3月29日宣布，已获得马来西亚通讯及多媒体委员会（MCMC）颁发的正式授权书，以负责部署马国最新的5G网络。
U Mobile是在去年11月获选为开发国家第二个5G网络的电讯公司。
马国政府此前已同意设立第二5G网络，并将国有的国家数码公司（DNB）股份出售给明讯（Maxis）、天地通数码网络（CelcomDigi）、U Mobile，以及杨忠礼通讯（YTL Communications）。
政府将在指定期间内保留国家数码公司的30%股份及一项特别股。
