英国政府说，英格兰首次在绵羊身上发现禽流感病毒。
路透社报道，当局星期一（3月24日）发声明说：“在对约克郡（Yorkshire）一处养殖场的家禽进行例行监测后，发现这起病例，该农场此前已在其他圈养鸟类中确诊高致病的H5N1禽流感。”
目前没有证据表明该病毒对英国的家畜群体构成更高风险。
美国农场去年出现禽流感，许多奶牛受到感染，也首次在羊驼身上发现禽流感病毒。
