马国斥资升级1.2万公厕 房政部长:堵车可用“BMW”厕所

马来西亚房屋及地方政府部长倪可敏指出,部门斥资约9亿令吉(约2亿7200万新元),升级全国1万2000个公厕,以便那些节日期间返乡却遭遇堵车的人们能使用“BMW”(干净、迷人、清香)厕所。

他星期五(3月21日)出席房政部的斋戒月关爱计划与开斋活动时说,房政部还拨款1800万令吉(约544万新元)提升主要高速公路沿途的休息站公厕,希望社会各界能于开斋节前,感受到房政部投入的努力。

《中国报》引述倪可敏说,马国的强大在于种族、宗教和文化多样性,而他对房政部是欢庆多元的部门之一感到自豪。他还透露,房政部每年都会依据不同节日来装饰部门大堂,并成功地吸引本地与外国游客驻足拍照。

他强调,我们必须拒绝试图分裂多元种族社会的声音,而团结是建设稳定、进步和昌明马国的基础。

“斋戒月将成为团结的象征,弘扬耐心和真诚等价值观。各方应趁此机会互相理解、尊重,在工作上加强如家人手足般的情谊,这也符合房政部‘为了祖国,一同强大、多元一体’的口号。”

另一方面,他提醒众人在开斋节活动上不要浪费食物,房政部也会推广“零浪费”概念,提高公众对可持续性的重要认识。

The global forecast for the Asian markets is murky following recent volatility, with crude oil prices providing support in what has been an otherwise tough month. The European markets were down and the U.S. bourses were mixed and flat and the Asian markets figure to split the difference.The TSE finished modestly lower on Friday following losses from the financial shares and property stocks.For the day, the index sank 15.09 points or 0.49 percent to finish at 3,061.35 after trading between 3,057.84 and 3,089.78. Volume was 1.39 billion shares worth 1.30 billion Singapore dollars. There were 285 decliners and 184 gainers.

How Does Bitcoin Work?

Bitcoin is built on a distributed digital record called a blockchain. As the name implies, blockchain is a linked body of data, made up of units called blocks that contain information about each and every transaction, including date and time, total value, buyer and seller, and a unique identifying code for each exchange. Entries are strung together in chronological order, creating a digital chain of blocks. “Once a block is added to the blockchain, it becomes accessible to anyone who wishes to view it, acting as a public ledger of cryptocurrency transactions,” says Stacey Harris, consultant for Pelicoin, a network of cryptocurrency ATMs. Blockchain is decentralized, which means it’s not controlled by any one organization. “It’s like a Google Doc that anyone can work on,” says Buchi Okoro, CEO and co-founder of African cryptocurrency exchange Quidax. “Nobody owns it, but anyone who has a link can contribute to it. And as different people update it, your copy also gets updated.”
