47艘船本月改道苏伊士运河 初显地区稳定迹象

苏伊士运河管理局表示,自2月初以来,已有47艘船舶由好望角改道至苏伊士运河。

路透社报道,苏伊士运河管理局主席拉比(Osama Rabie)星期天(2月23日)还提到,尽管红海危机未形成对苏伊士运河的持续替代航线,但目前已出现地区稳定回归的积极信号。

自2023年11月以来,伊朗支持的胡塞武装对红海地区船只频繁发动袭击,迫使部分航运绕行非洲以避开苏伊士运河。这不仅导致全球航运中断,还推高了运输成本。

埃及总统塞西(Abdel Fattah al-Sisi)去年12月表示,这一危机已使2024年埃及的苏伊士运河收入减少约70亿美元(约93亿新元)。

Telegram hopes to raise $1bn with a convertible bond private placement

The super secure UAE-based Telegram messenger service, developed by Russian-born software icon Pavel Durov, is looking to raise $1bn through a bond placement to a limited number of investors from Russia, Europe, Asia and the Middle East, the Kommersant daily reported citing unnamed sources on February 18, 2021.The issue reportedly comprises exchange bonds that could be converted into equity in the messaging service that is currently 100% owned by Durov and his brother Nikolai.Kommersant reports that the price of the conversion would be at a 10% discount to a potential IPO should it happen within five years.The minimum bond placement is said to be set at $50mn, but could be lowered to $10mn. Five-year bonds could carry an annual coupon of 7-8%.
