刚果民主共和国与卢旺达6月27日在美国签署全面和平协议，承诺结束长达30年的冲突，推动非洲大湖区和平与稳定。协议签署后立即生效。
协议内容包括：尊重彼此领土完整，停止敌对行动，推动交战部队脱离接触，对非法武装组织实施缴械和有条件整编；建立常设联合安全协调机制；推动两国难民和境内流离失所人员安全有序地返回家园，并确保人道主义准入。协议附录列明了削弱并解除卢旺达反政府势力“卢旺达解放民主力量”武装能力的计划，以及卢旺达逐步解除防御措施的安排。
