سأل رجل قتادة عن القدر؟ فقال: رأي العرب أحب إليك أم رأي العجم؟ فقال الرجل: لا بل رأي العرب. قال قتادة: فإن العرب لم تزل في جاهليتها وإسلامها تثبت القدر.
قلت: في مسائل العقيدة الأصل أن قول العرب أقرب إلى الصواب من العجم وذلك لوجوه:
* أن الرسالة بدأت وانتشرت فيهم فهم المنبع الصافي
* عادة لما تتوسع الأراضي الإسلامية فإن كثيرا ممن كان كافرا ثم أسلم يدخل شيئا من ضلالاته في دين الله كحال سوسن النصراني الذي ابتدع بدعة القدر ثم ذكروا أنه عاد إلى نصرانيته
وهذا يبين لك ضلال أهل الكلام الذين اعتمدوا في العقيدة على علم الكلام المأخوذ من اليونان وغيرهم .
