美中即將就關稅戰進行首次高層官員會面之際，《彭博社》報道，美國總統特朗普表示，在與中國的貿易談判中將提到被控違反國安法的香港《壹傳媒》創辦人黎智英，此舉很可能激怒北京。
特朗普在保守派電台主持人修伊特（Hugh Hewitt）的訪問中說：「我認為談論黎智英是非常好的主意，我們會之納入談判中的一環。」在競選總統期間，特朗普曾揚言上任後會要求中方釋放黎智英。堅定支持民主的黎智英擁有英國公民身分，自2020年12月以來就被關進監獄，預計未來幾個月法庭將就黎智英被控違反國安法的案件宣判。

The SSE was the first modern stock exchange to open in China, with trading commencing in 1990. It has now grown to become the largest stock exchange in Asia and the third-largest in the world by market capitalization, which stood at RMB 50.6 trillion (US$7.8 trillion) as of September 2021. Stocks (both A-shares and B-shares), bonds, funds, and derivatives are traded on the exchange. The SEE has two trading boards, the Main Board and the Science and Technology Innovation Board, the latter more commonly known as the STAR Market. The Main Board mainly hosts large, well-established Chinese companies and lists both A-shares and B-shares.
