A funded Ph.D. student position:
development of MRI methods
Development of (1) radio-frequency coils/antennas for MRI, and (2) methods for sensing and accounting for variations in the magnetic field at the MNI/Neuro’s Brain Imaging Centre and the BBME program
A Ph.D. student position is open at the Montreal Neurological Institute’s Brain Imaging Centre and the BBME graduate program.
The research themes include:
Design and fabrication of specialized Radio-Frequency coils for MRI.
Development of methods for in-bore sensing of the variations in the magnetic field.
Development of methods for modeling and accounting for these variations.
The candidate will develop, evaluate and apply these methods using cutting-edge large bore 3 Tesla and 7 Tesla scanners, and a cutting-edge magnetic field camera.
The candidate will be instructed by an MRI physicist (Prof. David Rudko), an RF expert (Dr. Pedram Yazdanbakhsh), and an expert in Brain Imaging signals (Prof. Amir Shmuel).
Development of MRI methods is a highly regarded and needed expertise in both the academic and high-tech sectors.
