РПЛ-20 использует неразъёмную ленту, которую возможно заряжать протягом без открытия ствольной коробки. Пулемёт оснащен складным регулируемым прикладом с подщечником и плечевой опорой. На стандартизированную планку Пикатинни на 46 слотов могут быть установлены любые прицельные комплексы.
