有組織及三合會調查科高級警司李桂華交代案情，指下午5時香港島衝鋒隊行山隊接獲線報，隨後於龍躍徑拘捕3名年齡介乎21至23歲的男子。
警方搜得800粒彈殻、200粒彈頭、懷疑火藥及一些化學品（硝酸鉀、硝酸銨及濃酸）。因現場範圍較大及漆黑，預計調查行動仍須持續數小時。目前未知是否與反修例運動有關，亦未知該批物品的來源。
李桂華見記者期間不時被民眾於遠處指罵「含撚」及「屌你老母」。

But the same encryption technology has also made them a favored communication tool for criminals and terrorist groups, including al Qaeda and the Islamic State.
