据报道，因北京方面透露将对此项出售展开反垄断调查，长和集团确认暂缓原定4月2日签署的巴拿马等43个港口出售协议。接近交易人士透露，长和下星期不会签订任何关于出售巴拿马港口的协议。协议细节复杂性导致最终条款尚未敲定，4月2日仅为最早可行签署日期而非最后期限。
此前，中国监管部门近期要求国有企业暂停与李嘉诚家族旗下企业的新合作项目，该政策调整被指与港口交易暂缓存在关联。港府正与长江和记实业就交易方案进行磋商，现有合作业务暂不受影响。
