当地时间2025年4月15日，匿名论坛4chan遭遇严重黑客攻击，引发长达数小时的服务瘫痪。根据竞争对手论坛Soyjak.party泄露信息，攻击者不仅篡改网站显示"U GOT HACKED XD"标语，更曝光包括后台数据库权限界面、源代码、用户IP记录及管理员名单等敏感数据。
TechCrunch确认与泄露名单中的某位管理员取得联系，该人士承认泄露截屏的真实性，并透露黑客可能已渗透系统"超过一年"。此次事件尤其威胁到"4chan Pass"付费用户资料安全，其VIP论坛权限及发帖特权面临风险。泄露内容中包含涉嫌与管理员关联的电子邮箱和私人照片，Soyjak.party用户已开始公布这些信息。
