Paganism never truly meant rural/country dweller, or rustic. The word paganism only became associated with rural/country dweller after all of the aristocracy was converted to Abrahamism, and the only ones left who still practiced the old native pagan faith were the folk living in rural villages, and that’s how the word pagan eventually started to mean country dweller/rural folk.

Paganism has always really meant an individual who follows his/her ethnic ancestral pagan spiritual heritage, traditions and way of life. Pagan means ethnic.

This is the last demo I’ll be posting.
Being a full time mom means that I won’t have time to create music for a good long while, and when I’m ready for that, it will be the start of a new project with a new name and I’m not sure what it will sound like or what that name will be.

“Hiraeth” has been an incredible outlet for me over the years and I’m so grateful for the support I’ve gotten and the connections I’ve made with people in the process. But the truth is that there is a sense of homelessness that comes with the meaning of the word “Hiraeth” that I no longer wish to express or embody.

After everything that’s happened, what’s most important to me now is to lay down a solid foundation for my daughter so that she has everything she needs in order to grow into the amazing person I know she already is.

With that said, I will leave up my channels, but this will be the last post I make. Thank you all for listening to my music and showing me support. It means more than I can say.

Following this demo, I’ll drop one last unreleased song from the album “Woven” which I feel will be appropriate for this end of an era.

This rough demo was recorded live with a tascam the first time I met Jeff in person. We were both fans of Elliott Smith so we decided to cover “The Biggest Lie” since Jeff already knew how to play it on guitar. After he passed, I have listened to this countless times. It brings smiles and tears to me every time.
