⚠️India's unique Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI)—spanning Aadhaar, UPI, and Digilocker—has transformed citizen services, but its application to businesses remains limited. Why?- Because of government regulation- life is tough for entrepreneurs.

What do we need to make this work?

⚜️1. Shift from a “prohibited until permitted” mindset to trust-based systems. States can push this reform as a non-fiscal lever to attract investment.

⚜️2. Narrow jail provisions to five criteria (e.g., physical harm, fraud).

Forwarded from VK IAS - UPSC interviews
FAQ - Should laws related to POSH , dowry harassment etc which were in favour of women owing to historical discrimination against them be made gender neutral .

Purely my opinion - So if there is a possibility of injustice - the onus is on sc to make sure that does not happen. Just like victims should not be stripped of dignity, even the accused should not be stripped off their dignity- its antithetical to the concept of justice- As societies evolve, we need to relook at laws from time to time. we have anecdotal evidence in the form of cases like atul subash which warrants a relook.

GS3 : Intellectual property rights- Copy right conundrum in carnatic music

⚜️
Carnatic music’s improvisational essence clashes with the law’s requirement for clearly fixed compositions.
⚜️ Performers do enjoy “performers’ rights,” but unauthorized audio/video recordings in sabhas and posts on social media often occur, potentially violating these rights.

⚜️
Improvisations, additions, and new creative elements become part of the public domain once performed, raising questions on ownership.

⚜️
Many Carnatic compositions are already in the public domain (e.g., works of Purandara Dasa, Tyagaraja), further complicating enforcement of copyright

Gs-3 : Environment- Pollution

🅾️he problem revolves around air pollution caused by thermal power plants, primarily due to sulphur dioxide (SO₂) emissions, which have severe environmental and health consequences.

🅾️What does the study by the International Energy Agency’s Clean Coal Centre (IEACCC) say?-

🅾️The regulatory goal: To reduce these emissions through enforceable standards, like the mandatory installation of Flue Gas Desulphurization (FGD) technology- we discussed that here-

⚜️Environmental regulations exist to correct the “market failure” where industries externalize pollution costs onto society.

⚜️Why regulations fail? Weak enforcement, regulatory capture (influence of power companies)

Not a generic motivational post but just a thought that showcases the vulnerable side of EVERY single ASPIRANT, teachers and essentially EVERY human being- We all have regrets- we all have disappointments- we let ourselves down- unless we accept it, we find it tough to move ahead in life. Change begins with that acceptance- I hope this triggers a chain of thought in your life if you ever feel stuck. Lets make ourselves a promise- lets not take ourselves too seriously🙂 But do take what your work ethic seriously because you will be at peace when you know you did your best! Everybody else DO NOT matter🙂

This is just a point for you to ponder - Click here and Read
Note - update regarding the next video of the FREE current affairs series- i noticed that some people were asking about notes- the purpose of these videos is to actually MAKE you complete the tasks- which defeats the purpose if you just get notes- which will just be another pdf lying on your device. Neither you will sit through the video nor will you absorb the content in long run

P.s- the 👆 pic is an example of practical observation in your daily life- this looks like a traditional agarbatti ( incense stick) but its a mosquito repellant- which is a nice idea- a common knowledge for many, not so common for others- this is also a PYQ theme- ( remember lemon grass/Elephant grass debate?) so these videos are meant for imbibing such structured thinking- not information delivery- please use them witb patience- follow me on this channel by subscribing-
