As for shaving it for other than this, then the scholars have differed between it being permitted and disliked, and their differing is well known to be to two positions, and they are two narrations from Ahmad, and there is no differing between the scholars of the Muslims and the Imams of religion that that is not legislated nor recommended nor is it from the path of Allah and His way nor from the asceticism legislated for the Muslims nor from what Allah has praised any of the poor for..”. End of speech.
Then the ruling on shaving the head differs according to the reason for that, as clarified by Imam Ibn-Ul-Qayyim, may Allah have mercy on him, explained in “Ahkam Ahlidh-Dhimmah” (1/242) summarising the words of Shaykh-Ul-Islam, may Allah have mercy on him, as it comes in “Al-Faatawa” (21/116 -117), making the shaving the head to be categorised into four categories: legislated, Shirki, Innovation, and concession:
- Legislated: Shaving in Hajj and Umrah.
- Shirki: Shaving the head for the Shaykhs; they shave the heads of the disciples of the Shaykhs and say, "Shave your head for Shaykh so-and-so." This is the same category as making prostration to them, as shaving the head is servitude and humbling, and many of them practice pagan shaykhdom; you see the disciple devoted in prostrating to them and calling it lowering the head and manners and repenting to him, and repentance should not be for anyone except for Allah alone and shaving the head for him, and shaving the head is servitude that is not befitting except for Allah alone, and the Arabs, if they felt safe with a prisoner, would cut off his forelocks and release him as servitude and humiliation to him, and for this reason it was part of the ritual to remove the forelocks to Allah as servitude, submission, and humbleness...

- As for the Innovated shaving: it is like the shaving of many of the 'mutaawi'ah'.
The poor make it a condition in poverty and a sort of appearance that distinguishes them from the people of hair, such as soldiers, jurists, judges, and others. It was authentically reported from the Prophet regarding the Khawarij that he said: “Their sign is shaving”.
Umar bin Al-Khattaab, may Allah be pleased with him, said to Sabeegh bin Isil when he asked him about some issues and ordered that his head be uncovered and said: “If I saw you shaved, I would have taken what was in your eyes (of doubts) for that you being one of the Khawaarij”.
- As for shaving out of necessity and permission: it is like shaving due to a pain, or lice, or an injury to the head such as pimples and the like, this there is nothing wrong it”. End of speech.
Shaykh-Ul-Islam said: “Shaving the head out of necessity is like shaving it for medical treatment, this is also permissible according to the Book, the Sunnah, and consensus, as Allah has granted permission to the pilgrim in Ihraam who is not permitted to shave his head to shave it if there is an injury there, as the most high said:
(وَلَا تَحْلِقُوا۟ رُءُوسَكُمْ حَتَّىٰ يَبْلُغَ ٱلْهَدْىُ مَحِلَّهُۥۚ فَمَن كَانَ مِنكُم مَّرِيضًا أَوْ بِهِۦٓ أَذًى مِّن رَّأْسِهِۦ فَفِدْيَةٌ مِّن صِيَامٍ أَوْ صَدَقَةٍ أَوْ نُسُكٍۚ)
"And do not shave your heads until the sacrificial animal has reached its place of slaughter. And whoever among you is ill or has an ailment of the head [making shaving necessary must offer] a ransom of fasting [three days] or charity or sacrifice".
[Al-Baqarah:196]
The Hadith of Ka'b bin Ujrah is established by consensus of the Muslims, that the Prophet ﷺ passed by him during the ‘Umrah of Al-Hudaybiyah - and lice were falling from his head - and he said: “Are your lice bothering you?”. He said: “Yes”. So he said: “Shave your head and sacrifice a sheep, or fast for three days, or feed six poor people”. This hadith is agreed upon on its authenticity and accepted by all Muslims. “Majmuu’ Al-Fataawa” (21/117).
I said:
From this categorisation which the the evidence points to, it becomes known that that whoever worships by shaving the head in a way other than that which the evidence has brought - as mentioned previously regarding the Hajj and Umrah, and also the newborn - then that is an innovation and misguidance and a departure from the path of the Ar-Rahmaan and following the footsteps of the Shayateen, like if there was to be a group that makes shaving the head a symbol for itself which distinguishes them from others.
As was the case with the first Khawaarij, and the texts stated that this was one of their characteristics, meaning: their distinguishing signs.
Shaykh-Ul-Islam, Ibn Taymiyyah, may Allah have mercy on him, said: “And in the hadith of Abu Saeed is that the Prophet ﷺ mentioned a people who will be in his nation: “They will emerge in a group of people whose sign will be shaving”. He said: “They are the worst of creation or among the worst of creation the closest of the two groups to the truth will kill them”. This sign is the sign of the first of them, just as Dhul-Thadiyah was; not that this is a description which has to be with all of them”. End of speech from “Majmuu' Al-Faatawa” (28/497).
This speech contains that shaving was a unfaltering characteristic of the first Khawarij, but it is not a necessary characteristic of the Khawaarij in every era.
The Allaamah Sulayman bin Sahmaan, may Allah have mercy on him, said: “It was previously mentioned that shaving is a characteristic of the Khawaarij who will emerge from Iraq, as is well-known and famous in the Hadiths and the speech of scholars”. “Ad-Diyaa Ash-Shaariq fi Radd Shubahat Al-Maadhiq Al-Maariq”.
Al-Qurtubi, may Allah have mercy on him, said: “Meaning, they made this a sign for them of their rejection of the adornments of this world and a slogan to raise themselves up, as the monks of the Nasaara do, they show the middle of their heads.

All of this is due to their ignorance of what one is to be ascetic about, and an innovation on their part in the religion of Allah”. End of speech.
Al-Haafidh Ibn Hajr, may Allah have mercy on him, said: “The Khawaarij’s characteristic is shaving their heads. The early Muslims used to leave their hair and not shave it. The way of the Khawaarij was to shave their heads entirely”. “Fathul-Baari” (8/69).
Shaykh Abdulaziz Ar-Raajihi said in “Sharh Kitaab At-Tawheed min Sahih Al-Bukhari” (p.205): “His saying: “Their sign is shaving” meaning: the mark of the Khawaarij, and what is meant is shaving the head; it is a mark for them, and not everyone who shaves their head is one of the Khawaarij, but the Khawaarij are strict in shaving, to the point that they do not let it grow, and they worship Allah with that, and they take that as a slogan and a way for them”. End of speech.
As for the statement of Nawawi, may Allah have mercy on him, in his explanation of Sahih Muslim: “Some people used it as evidence that shaving the head is disliked, but there is no evidence in this. Rather, it is only a sign for them. A sign may be something forbidden or something permissible, as he ﷺ said: ‘Their sign is a black man with one of his arms like a woman’s breast”. It is known that this is not Haraam. It has been established in Sunan Abi Daud with a chain of narration upon the conditions of Bukhari and Muslim that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw a boy who had part of his head shaved, so he said: “Shave it all or leave it all”. This is clear in the permissibility of shaving the head, and there is not room for interpretation”. End of speech.
I say:
This hadith does not go beyond the fact that the direction (which took place) to shave is due to a need, as previously mentioned in the categorisations in the speech of the two Shaykhs of Islam.
Yes, this points to that the basic principle regarding shaving the head is permissibility. Ibn Abdulbar relayed a consensus on this, and it is not surrender to due to the existence of differing, but from what is established in the principles of Usuul Al-Fiqh that the ruling on what is permissible differs according to what it is a means to, and this falls under the rule: The means have the rulings of the goals.

And with this you come to know that Nawawi’s statement here “the sign may be forbidden or permissible” contains observations.
Because for the Khawaarij shaving was not just a sign without a purpose, so that the aforementioned could be stated, but rather it was an affair which they took as worship, and a sign of theirs which the first Khawaarij were upon.
The Prophet ﷺ made this one of their characteristics, and it was mentioned in the Hadith that preceded that the first of the Khawaarij were like this.
Umar would have struck Sabeegh’s neck if he had found him to be shaved, because he knew that the Prophet ﷺ had made that one of their characteristics. If he had found him like that, his shaved head would have been strong evidence that he was one of them, in addition to the fact that he was following the ambiguous, and that he was Iraqi.
Shaykh-Ul-Islam, may Allah have mercy on him, said in “Al-Istiqaamah” (1/257): “Sabeegh bin Isil At-Tamimi came to Umar bin Al-Khattaab, may Allah be pleased with him, and asked him about the ambiguous verses, seeking discord and seeking interpretation (suitable to them), and he beat him severely. He uncovered his head and found that he had two braids, so he said, “If I had found you shaved (your head), I would have beaten that which contains your eyes, because if he had found him shaved, he would have used that as evidence that he was one of the renegade Khawaarij, and he would have killed him because the Prophet ﷺ had ordered that they be fought”. End of speech.
And it was previously stated by Shaykh-Ul-Islam, Ibn-ul-Qayyim, Ibn Hajr, Al-Qurtubi and others that they considered this to be one of their characteristics - meaning, the first Khawaarij - which by way they would worship, and a slogan for them that distinguished them from others.
If this was to be established, then the Muslim must avoid this description, even if they do not do it out of worship, or distinguishing, or with the intention of imitating the Khawaarij, they shouldn't make shaving the head a habit.
Out of being far from resembling the first Khawaarij in what the Prophet ﷺ, his companions, and the Imams after them considered to be from their characteristics that they used as a symbol for themselves.
And the fact that many of the Khawaarij now do not appear to have shaving as a symbol of theirs does not negate the fact that adopting shaving as a custom is an imitation of the first Khawaarij, as the evidence and the speech of the Imams points towards.
And the legislative texts in the Qur’an and Sunnah prohibiting imitating the people of falsehood, are abundant.
Allah the most high said:
(ولا تكونوا كالذين نسوا الله وأنساهم أنفسهم)
"And be not like those who forgot Allah and He caused them to forget their ownselves."
[Hashr:19]
And He and exalted is He, said:
(فَٱسْتَقِيمَا وَلَا تَتَّبِعَآنِّ سَبِيلَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ)
"So remain on a right course and follow not the way of those who do not know".
[Yunus:89]
and He the most high said:
(وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ سَبِيلَ ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ)
"and follow not the way of the mischief-makers".
[Al-A'raf:142]
and He and exalted is He said:
(وَلَا تَكُونُوا۟ كَٱلَّذِينَ تَفَرَّقُوا۟ وَٱخْتَلَفُوا۟ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَهُمُ ٱلْبَيِّنَٰتُۚ وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ)
"And do not be like the ones who became divided and differed after the clear proofs had come to them. And those will have a great punishment".
[Aal-e-Imran:105]
It was narrated from the hadith of Ibn Umar that the Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever imitates a people is from them”.
It is not a condition for the prohibition of imitation (to apply) that one is intending it, but rather this being present increases the sin, and the prohibition goes into effect from the very fact of agreeing and coinciding with them, even if the person did not intend to imitate them.
- And acting upon the rule of (blocking the means) and (preventing doubts) and other legislative rules which abundant evidences in chapters of religion, point towards.

- To actualise the legislative Walaa and Baraa, loyalty to the truth and its people, and disavowal of falsehood and its people, which necessitates opposing the people of falsehood in what distinguishes them and is their slogan.
What does not fall under this:
1- Shaving the head in Hajj and Umrah, or shaving the hair of a newborn, as evidence has came for this.
2- Shaving it due to a need, excuse or a concession which calls for it, as previously explained.
3- If shaving the head is a common custom in the country, then there is no reason to prohibit it, because the reason for imitating the Khawaarij is no longer valid, as the aspect of observing custom overcomes this by the general, comprehensive rule: (the custom is decisive).
Among the Fatwas of the Imams of the Najdi Da’wah on this matter is what the sons of the Shaykh, Imam Muhammad ibn Abdulwahhaab, and Hamd bin Naasir bin Mu'amar, may Allah have mercy on him – gave as a Fatwa, as it comes in “Ad-Durar As-Sunniyah fi al-Ajwibah Al-Najdiyyah” (5/149) and “Majmu’at Ar-Rasaa’il wal-Masaa’il An-Najdiyyah” (Part Four, Section Two) (1/578) where they said: “… Leaving the shaving of the head is not forbidden, but rather the Ruler discouraged it because shaving it is the custom among us, and only fools leave it among us; so the discouraging of that is a discouraging from the angle of exalting, not a discouraging with the meaning of prohibition, to block the means”. End of speech.
And the Mufti Muhammad bin Ibraheem Aali-Shaykh, may Allah have mercy on him, said, as it comes in his “Fataawa” (2/43): “The people of Najd took it from those before them, because they are people of professions; they shave due to it being required, and the fact that it is a sign mentioned among a group of signs does not indicate that it is the decisive factor; so whoever is upright in the religion of Muhammad and in glorifying the Sunnah of the Prophets in doing and not doing, where is they from those for whom the commands of the Messenger don't mean anything”. End of speech.
And Allah knows best”. End of speech.

356◾️The ruling of a father kissing their daughter on the mouth after puberty?◾️
Answered by Fadeelatushaykh Abu Hatim Yusuf Al-'Inaabi Al-Jazaa'iree - may Allah preserve him -
📥Question:
“Is it permissible for a father to kiss his daughter on the mouth after puberty?”.
📤Answer:
“This is not permissible, because kissing on the mouth is thought to be a source of production of desire, so the means to this must be blocked.
If this does not happen out of desire at the moment, it may happen eventually.
However, if it is accompanied by desire, there is no disagreement about its prohibition.
This was not reported from the Prophet ﷺ nor from his Companions, may Allah be pleased with them, unlike kissing on the hand, cheek, or head if it is due to travel, or to console someone for a calamity or illness, or other than this of what appropriate occasion with the condition that there is no fear of Fitnah, but that it is taken as a habit; then it is to be prevented.
Ibn Muflih, may Allah have mercy on him, said in “Al-Aadaab Ash-Shar’iyyah” (2/256, Ar-Risalah print): “Chapter on the kissing of women who are mahrams on the forehead and head:
Ibn Mansuur said to Abu Abdullah: “Can a man kiss his mahram?”. He said: “If he returns from a journey and does not fear for himself (Fitnah)”.
He mentioned the hadith of Khalid bin Al-Waleed.
Ishaaq bin Rahawayh said as he said. The Prophet ﷺ did that when he returned from the expedition; he kissed Fatima, but he never did it on the mouth, (only) the forehead or the head”.

All praise is for Allah, we praise Him, we seek His help, we ask for His forgiveness, and we seek refuge with Allah from the evils of our own souls and the wickedness of our actions, whoever Allah guides, there is none that can lead him astray, and whoever Allah allows to go astray, there is none that can lead him to the right path.
I testify and bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship in truth but Allah, alone, without any partners.
And I testify and bear witness that Muhammed is His Slave and Messenger.
"O you who believe! Fear Allah (by doing all that He has ordered and by abstaining from all that He has forbidden) as He should be feared. [Obey Him, be thankful to Him, and remember Him always], and die not except as Muslims with complete submission to Allah."
[Aal-i-'Imraan:102]
"O mankind! Be dutiful to your Lord, Who created you from a single person (Adam), and from him (Adam) He created his wife [Hawwa (Eve)], and from them both He created many men and women and fear Allah through Whom you demand your mutual (rights), and (do not cut the relations of) the wombs (kinship). Surely, Allah is Ever an All-Watcher over you."
[An-Nisaa:1]
"O you who believe! Keep your duty to Allah and fear Him, and speak (always) the truth.
He will direct you to do righteous good deeds and will forgive you your sins. And whosoever obeys Allah and His Messenger (ﷺ) he has indeed achieved a great achievement (i.e. he will be saved from the Hell-fire and made to enter Paradise)."
[Al-Ahzaab:70-71]
Amma ba'd:
The Prophet ﷺ informed that trials and tribulations will inevitably occur in this nation, especially in the latter times, to the extent that their abundance has been made one of the signs of the Hour.
In Sahih Bukhari, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, the Prophet ﷺ said: “The Hour will not be established until knowledge is taken away, earthquakes become frequent, time passes quickly, tribulations appear, and Al-Haraj increases, and it is killing, until wealth becomes abundant and overflows”.
Whoever exposes himself to these tribulations and enters into them, it will overtake him. But the true believer, who follows, is the one who flees from it and avoids it.
In Sahih Bukhari and Muslim, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, that he said: “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “There will be tribulations, in which the one sitting is better than the one standing, the one standing is better than the one walking, and the one walking is better than the one running. Whoever exposes himself to them, it will overtake him. So whoever finds a refuge or a shelter from them, let him seek protection in it”.

And from the success granted by Allah, the Exalted, to a person in times of tribulations is that He spares them from it and grants them patience and forbearance.
And Allah, the most high, has granted success to the people of Sunnah, those who follow His Book, the Sunnah of His Prophet, and the methodology of the righteous predecessors from the time of the companions of the Prophet ﷺ and those who followed them in goodness, to stand by the command of Allah and His Messenger ﷺ, and to give precedence to their command over what emotions and desires dictate.
Not out of cowardice, as claimed by those who have not been guided to the path of guidance! But because their creed, which is built upon the Book and the Sunnah, serves as a barrier for them against everything that brings tribulation to the servants and the lands.
Allah, the most high, said:
"O you who have believed, respond to Allah and to the Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life. And know that Allah intervenes between a man and his heart and that to Him you will be gathered. And fear a trial which will not strike those who have wronged among you exclusively, and know that Allah is severe in penalty".
[Al-Anfaal:24-25]
So what's obligatory upon all Muslims to respond to the command of Allah, the the most high, and the command of His Messenger ﷺ, for in that lies the true life.
And this verse contains several matters, the most important of which are:
That the beneficial life is only attained by responding to Allah and His Messenger. So whoever does not attain this response has no [true] life, even if he has an animalistic life which they shared with the lowest of animals. The true and good life is the life of those who respond to Allah and the Messenger, both outwardly and inwardly. They are the truly living, even if they die, whereas others are dead, even if they are alive in body.
For this reason, they are the people with the most complete life and the most complete in response to the call of the Messenger ﷺ.
Everything that the Book and the Sunnah call to contains life, so whoever misses a part of it, misses a part of life. And he has life in accordance with how much he responds to the Messenger ﷺ.
It is the life of their heart and soul, through which they distinguish between truth and falsehood, guidance and misguidance, desire and deviation, so they chooses the truth over its opposite.

This life benefits by granting strong power to distinguish between what is beneficial and harmful in knowledge, wills, and deeds. It also provides the strength of faith, will, and love for the truth, as well as the power of hatred and aversion to falsehood.
And Allah, the most high, said:
"Respond to your Lord before a Day comes from Allah of which there is no repelling. No refuge will you have that day, nor for you will there be any denial. But if they turn away - then We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], over them as a guardian; upon you is only [the duty of] notification. And indeed, when We let man taste mercy from us, he rejoices in it; but if evil afflicts him for what his hands have put forth, then indeed, man is ungrateful".
[Ash-Shura:47-48]
And, the most high, said:
(ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَجَابُوا۟ لِلَّهِ وَٱلرَّسُولِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَآ أَصَابَهُمُ ٱلْقَرْحُۚ لِلَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ وَٱتَّقَوْا۟ أَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ)
"Those [believers] who responded to Allah and the Messenger after injury had struck them. For those who did good among them and feared Allah is a great reward".
[Aal-i-Imraan:172]
And, the most high, said:
"For those who have responded to their Lord is the best [reward], but those who did not respond to Him - if they had all that is in the earth entirely and the like of it with it, they would [attempt to] ransom themselves thereby. Those will have the worst account, and their refuge is Hell, and wretched is the resting place".
[Ar-Ra'd:18]
Indeed, from responding to Allah and His Messenger ﷺ and obeying Allah and His Messenger ﷺ, is what has been established by the texts of the Book and the Sunnah, the methodology of the righteous predecessors, and the establishments of the Imams of knowledge and Sunnah and their foundations:
Is that it is obligatory to obey the Muslim rulers in what is right, and to pledge allegiance to them, and that it is not permissible to rebel against them even if they are unjust, because rebellion against their authority results in great corruption, disruption of security in the land and among the people, loss of rights, cutting off of roads, and other harms that far exceed any harm caused by their injustice. And in patience over that, there is expiation of sins, multiplication of rewards, and elevation of ranks.
Allah, the most high, said:
(فَإِن تَنَٰزَعْتُمْ فِى شَىْءٍ فَرُدُّوهُ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ وَٱلرَّسُولِ إِن كُنتُمْ تُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْءَاخِرِۚ ذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ وَأَحْسَنُ تَأْوِيلًا)
"And if you disagree over anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you should believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is the best [way] and best in result".

Written by:

In the two Sahihs, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever obeys me has obeyed Allah, and whoever disobeys me has disobeyed Allah. And whoever obeys the leader has obeyed me, and whoever disobeys the leader has disobeyed me”.
And whoever removes the hand of obedience and dies without hold the pledge of allegiance to his Muslim ruler, he dies a death of ignorance.
As Muslim reported in his Sahih on the authority of Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, who said: “I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, say: "Whoever removes the hand from obedience will meet Allah on the Day of Judgment with no proof for him. And whoever dies while there is no pledge of allegiance upon his neck dies a death of ignorance”.
And Ahlussunnah wal-Jamaa'ah, from the time of the companions of the Prophet ﷺ until our time, have been fulfilling what Allah has obligated upon them of rebuking these tribulations.
And the matter of Al-Hajjaaj is not hidden from you, as Al-Hajjaj bin Yusuf Al-Thaqafi was an oppressive murderer, excessive in killing those who opposed his command, to the extent that he killed a group of the Imams of the religion, such as Sa’eed bin Jubair, may Allah have mercy on him, and others.
Despite that, this was not a justification for rebelling against him, and the Imams of the religion denounced the revolting against him. Out of obedience of Allah and His Messenger ﷺ, and due to what the Muslims will reap as a result of that (revolting) in what relates to killing, corruption, fear, and the loss of security, is many times greater than what they suffer from Al-Hajjaaj or from others.
Ahmad said: “And whoever rebels against a ruler from the rulers of the Muslims, while the people have already gathered around him and acknowledged his caliphate, whether by consent or by force, then this rebel has split the unity of the Muslims and opposed the narrations from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. And if the rebel dies upon this, he dies a death of ignorance. And it is not permissible for anyone to fight the ruler or rebel against him. Whoever does so is an Innovator, not upon the Sunnah and the right path”. End of speech.
And sins occurring from them is not a justification for rebelling against them and removing the hand of obedience. What's obligatory is patience and supplication for their righteousness and for the well-being of the country and the people.

In the two Sahihs, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever sees from his leader something he dislikes, let him be patient with it. For indeed, whoever separates from the Jamaa’ah even by a hand span and then dies, he dies a death of ignorance”.
Because of this, the righteous predecessors, may Allah be pleased with them, used to supplicate for the ruler to be righteous and to have righteous advisors and companions, as with them being correct comes the correction of the people and the land.
Imam Fudayl ibn ‘Iyaad, may Allah have mercy on him, said: “If I had a supplication which was to be answered, I would not make it except for the leader, because if the leader would be corrected, the country and the people will be safe”.
This was also narrated from Imam Ahmad and from others among the righteous predecessors.
This is the creed of Ahlussunnah wal-Jamaa’ah, the followers of the righteous predecessors, may Allah be pleased with them. They based it upon the evidences of the Book and the Sunnah, not upon desires and false enthusiasms, and so they were the ones who were saved from misguidance in this world and misery in the Hereafter.
Imam Abu Muhammad Sahl ibn Abdullah At-Tustari, may Allah have mercy on him, said: “This nation consists of seventy-three sects: seventy-two are doomed, all of them hate the ruler, and the saved one is this single sect that is with the ruler”.
Imam Abu Qilaabah Abdullah ibn Zayd Al-Jarmi, may Allah have mercy on him, said: “No people have Innovated an Innovation except that they have deemed the sword lawful”.
And he said: “The people of Desires are people of Misguidance, and I do not see their end result except to be the Fire. Test them: there is no one among them who adopts a position -or he said: a Hadith- except that his matter ultimately leads to the sword. Indeed, hypocrisy is of different types”, then he recited:
(وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ عَٰهَدَ ٱللَّهَ)
"And among them are those who made a covenant with Allah".
[At-Tawbah:75]
"And among them are some who accuse you concerning the [distribution of] charities".
[At-Tawbah:58]
"And among them are those who annoy the Prophet".
[At-Tawbah:61]
Their statements differed, but they united in doubt and denial. And these people's statements differed, but they are united upon the sword. And I do not see their end result except to be in the Fire”.

Hammaad said: “Then Ayyuub -whether at this Hadith or the previous one- said: “And by Allah, he was among the people of Fiqh (deep understanding) and intelligence”, meaning Abu Qilaabah”. End of speech.
It was narrated by Ad-Daarimi, and others with an authentic chain of narration.
And the reality is the best witness to this. When revolts and tribulations erupted in the Arab countries, you see all the people of Desires, despite the differences in their Innovations, orientations, and inclinations, rushing to support the demonstrations, inciting rebellion against the rulers, and the spilling of blood!
As the state of the people of Innovation is as Imam Al-Barbahaari, may Allah have mercy on him, said: “The example of the people of Innovation is like that of scorpions, they bury their heads in the sand and expose their tails! When they find an opportunity, they sting. Likewise, the people of innovation hide among the people, and when they are able, they achieve what they desire”. Tabaqaat Al-Hanaabilah (2/44).
▪️Clarification of some of the harms of demonstrations and revolts:
Indeed, one of the most harmful contemporary forms of rebellion against rulers, which has afflicted many Muslims in these times, is the tribulation of demonstrations, sit-ins, and chaos against the rulers.
And the prohibition of these demonstrations and tribulations is an affair which is stated with decisiveness, as it oppose the Book and the Sunnah, the objectives of Islamic legislation, and the way of the righteous predecessors.
This is evident in many aspects, from this is:
⏺ That they are from the actions of the disbelievers, and following them in this is imitation of them.
And imitating the disbelievers in their beliefs, statements, actions, or customs is Fusuuq, and at the very least, it is prohibited, as Shaykh-Ul-Islam stated in “Iqtida’ As-Siraat Al-Mustaqeem”.
Allah, the mighty and majestic, said:
(وَلَا تَكُونُوا۟ كَٱلَّذِينَ نَسُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ فَأَنسَىٰهُمْ أَنفُسَهُمْۚ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْفَٰسِقُونَ)
"And be not like those who forgot Allah, so He made them forget themselves. Those are the defiantly disobedient"
[Al-Hashr:19]

And Allah, the most high, said:
(وَلَا تَكُونُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ فَرَّقُوا۟ دِينَهُمْ وَكَانُوا۟ شِيَعًاۖ كُلُّ حِزْبٍۭ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ فَرِحُونَ)
“and do not be of those who associate others with Allah. [Or] of those who have divided their religion and become sects, every faction rejoicing in what it has".
[Ar-Rum:31-32]
And in the two Sahihs, on the authority of Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, that the Prophet ﷺ said: “Oppose the Mushriks”.
And it was also reported on the authority of Ibn Umar that the Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever imitates a people is from them”.
In these evidences, is a clarification that coinciding in outwardly and in appearance, inevitably instills between them a clear sense of closeness, sympathy, and affection.
Shaykh-Ul-Islam, may Allah have mercy on him, said: “Indeed, coinciding outwardly leads to a connection and similarity between those who resemble each other, which leads to agreeing in what relates to manners and actions, and this is a matter which has been observed”. End of speech.
And this is the blind following that the Prophet ﷺ informed about, as Muslim reported on the authority of Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri, from the Prophet ﷺ, that he said: “You will surely follow the ways of those before you, hand span by hand span, and arm span by arm span, until if they entered a lizard's hole, you would follow them”. We said: “O Messenger of Allah, the Yahood and the Nasaara?”. He said: “Who else?”.
And this reason is among the greatest causes that bring weakness to the Muslims.
Abu Daud, Ahmad, and Ibn Abu Dunya reported through two chains from Thawbaan, may Allah be pleased with him, that he said: “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “The nations are soon going to call one another towards you, just as those dining call one another to their dish”.
A person said: “Will it be because we are few on that day?” He said: “No, you will be many on that day, but you will be like the froth of a flood, and Allah will surely remove the fear of you from the hearts of your enemies, and He will surely cast 'Al-Wahn' into your hearts”. A person said: “O Messenger of Allah, what is 'Al-Wahn'?” He said: “Love of the Dunyaa and hatred of dying”.

For indeed, love of this Dunyaa is what has led many Muslims to imitate the disbelievers who forgot Allah, so He caused them to forget themselves.
Muslim reported on the authority of Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Hasten with good actions. As there will be trials like parts of a dark night. A man will wake up as a believer and evening as a disbeliever, or evening as a believer and wake up as a disbeliever, selling his religion for a share of this Dunyaa”.
And how, O Muslim, can you imitate them, when Allah described them as being worse than animals, and even more astray?!
The most high said:
(أَمْ تَحْسَبُ أَنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ يَسْمَعُونَ أَوْ يَعْقِلُونَۚ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا كَٱلْأَنْعَٰمِۖ بَلْ هُمْ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا)
"Or do you think that most of them hear or reason? They are not except like livestock. Rather, they are [even] more astray in [their] way".
[Al-Furqan:44]
And how can you follow them and imitate them, when you have the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ, in it is guidance and light, the straight path, and the way to safety and stability?
The most high said:
(أَوَلَمْ يَكْفِهِمْ أَنَّآ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْكَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَرَحْمَةً وَذِكْرَىٰ لِقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ)
"And is it not sufficient for them that We revealed to you the Book which is recited to them? Indeed in that is a mercy and reminder for a people who believe".
[Al-'Ankabut:51]
Imitating the disbelievers is from having Walaa to them, and Allah the most high said:
(لَّا يَتَّخِذِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ أَوْلِيَآءَ مِن دُونِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَۖ وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ فَلَيْسَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ فِى شَىْءٍ)
"Let not believers take disbelievers as allies instead of the believers. And whoever [of you] does that has nothing with Allah".
[Aal-e-Imran:28]
⏺ It is part of their plans to strike the Muslim ummah.
And that is why the disbelieving countries encourage demonstrations, support their participants, and stir them up against the Muslim rulers, to provoke trials, disturbances, and calamities, and spread chaos in the lands of Muslims.
The most high said:
(وَلَن تَرْضَىٰ عَنكَ ٱلْيَهُودُ وَلَا ٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ حَتَّىٰ تَتَّبِعَ مِلَّتَهُمْۗ)
"And never will the Yahuud or the Nasaara approve of you until you follow their religion".
[Al-Baqarah:120]
It is surprising to find among Muslims those who seek the help of the disbelieving countries against the Muslim rulers, and most of these are agents of the disbelievers, driven by them.

And they succeeded in some countries, and brought coolness to the eyes of the disbelievers, whilst Allah has declared disbelief upon those who ally with the disbelievers and aid them against the Muslims, manifesting disbelief over Islam.
The most high said:
"O you who have believed, do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies. They are [in fact] allies of one another. And whoever is an ally to them among you - then indeed, he is [one] of them. Indeed, Allah guides not the wrongdoing people".
[Al-Ma'idah:51]
And the most high said:
"O you who have believed, do not take your fathers or your brothers as allies if they have preferred disbelief over belief. And whoever does so among you - then it is those who are the wrongdoers".
[At-Taubah:23]
And other verses.
People have come to wish that if that their rulers remain in power, that the disbelievers can enter their countries, meddle with their wealth, and manage their affairs. And this, by Allah, is the consequence of opposing the Book and the Sunnah. Regarding this, Allah said:
(إِلَّا تَفْعَلُوهُ تَكُن فِتْنَةٌ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَفَسَادٌ كَبِيرٌ)
"If you do not do so, there will be fitnah on earth and great corruption".
[Al-Anfaal:73]
Ibn Katheer said: “Meaning, if you do not set aside the polytheists and ally with the believers, then fitnah will occur among the people, which is the confusion of matters, and the mixing of the believers with the disbelievers, and there will be widespread, large, and long-lasting corruption”. End of speech.
⏺ Because this is one of the causes of the fragmentation of the Muslims and the destruction of their unity.
And the strength of the Ummah lies in its unity, and a united group cannot be harmed due to its strength and cohesion.
It has been reported by Tirmidhi on the authority of Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet ﷺ said: “Hold on to the Jamaa'ah, and beware of division. As the Shaytaan is with the one, and he is farther from the two. Whoever desires the spaciousness of Jannah should stick to the Jamaa'ah”. The Hadith was declared authentic by Imam Al-Waadi’i through the combination of the chains of narration.
The fragmentation of the Muslim community around their Imam and leader is the cause of the destruction of nations.
In the two Sahihs on the authority of Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, the Prophet ﷺ said: “Let me be upon what I have left you, for those before you perished due to their questioning and differing with their Prophets”.
And on the authority of Abu Huraira, may Allah be pleased with him, the Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever leaves the obedience and separates from the Jamaa'ah, then dies, dies a death of ignorance. And whoever fights under the banner of 'Umiyyah, angered for the sake of near kindred and calls to near kindred or comes to aid to near kindred (upon bias and bigotry), and then dies, then their death will be a death of ignorance, or those that come out against my Ummah, striking its righteous and sinners, not abstaining and avoiding its believers, and does not uphold the covenants which was upon them, then they are not from it”. Reported by Muslim.

And the strength of the Ummah lies in its unity, and a united group cannot be harmed due to its strength and cohesion.

And from Jundub ibn Abdullah Al-Bajali, he said: “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever is killed under a banner of 'Umiyyah (an unclear affair), calling for fighting for near kindred or supporting fighting for kindred (upon bias in the manner of zealotry for tribes like in pre-Islamic ignorance), their death، is a death of ignorance”. Reported by Muslim.
⏺ And because what this contains of stirring up partisan strife.
And the negative effects of this are great, especially in what relates to encouraging demonstrations. Each party independently organizes demonstrations that rival the demonstrations of other parties, and thus the victims of this are the security of the country and its people.
The fragmentation of a single Ummah into separate parties is a departure from the unity of the Muslims, creating parties which come together on the exiting of the Muslim community and deviating from the legitimate leadership.
And Allah said:
"Indeed, those who have divided their religion and become sects - you, [O Muhammad], are not [associated] with them in anything. Their affair is only [left] to Allah ; then He will inform them about what they used to do".
[Al-An'am:159]
Partisanships towards being groups that pledge allegiance to individuals other than the ruler is a pre-Islamic allegiance, and the legislative texts which demolish this have been mentioned.
Partisanships within a single country is considered the formation of mini-countries within one state, and this is one of the greatest causes of the weakening, decline, and fragmentation of Islamic countries.
⏺ And because of the killing and fighting, what takes place to the protected lives.
What is caused through what demonstrators do, by assaulting security forces and those Muslims who happen to be in their path, and what they cause of killing of innocent lives due to the results of their revolution.

And Clarifying the Harms of Demonstrations and Overthrowing.
Written by:
➤Fadeelatush-Shaykh Abu Hatim Yusuf bin Al-Eid Al-Jazaa'iree, may Allah preserve him.
In the two Sahihs, on the authority of Abu Bakrah, may Allah be pleased with him, from the Prophet ﷺ that he said: “If two Muslims meet each other with their swords, then the killer and the killed are in the Fire”. I said: “O Messenger of Allah, this is for the killer, but what about the killed?”. He said: “Indeed, he was eager to kill his companion”.
⏺ It is contradicts being patient, which is commanded, and it is a form of discontent with the decrees of Allah.
And Allah, the mighty and majestic, said:
(وَٱصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَآ أَصَابَكَۖ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ مِنْ عَزْمِ ٱلْأُمُورِ)
"and be patient over what befalls you. Indeed, [all] that is of the matters [requiring] determination".
[Luqman:17]
And the most high said:
"Or think you that you will enter Jannah without such (trials) as came to those who passed away before you? They were afflicted with severe poverty and ailments and were so shaken that even the Messenger and those who believed along with him said, "When (will come) the Help of Allah?" Yes! Certainly, the Help of Allah is near!".
[Al-Baqarah:214]
As Allah, the mighty and majestic, has commanded us to be patient with what we face when we are not given our rights, He will ask us about this. And with this being the case He commanded us to fulfill the rights that are upon us, which is obedience to the Muslim ruler, and to ask Him, the the most high, for the rights that belong to us.
In the two Sahihs, on the authority of Ibn Mas'uud, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet ﷺ said: “There will be selfishness and matters you will disapprove of”. They said: “O Messenger of Allah, what do you command us?” He said: “Give the rights that are upon you and ask Allah for what is yours”.
The harms of these demonstrations and revolts are many.
⏺ The way out of these tribulations is by repenting to Allah from sins, establishing His worship, and His Tawheed.
As disobeying Allah, the most high, through Shirk and sins is the opposite of what is brought about through His Tawheed and obedience, which are security and stability.
In this regard, the most high said:
(ظَهَرَ ٱلْفَسَادُ فِى ٱلْبَرِّ وَٱلْبَحْرِ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ أَيْدِى ٱلنَّاسِ لِيُذِيقَهُم بَعْضَ ٱلَّذِى عَمِلُوا۟ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ)
"Corruption has appeared throughout the land and sea by [reason of] what the hands of people have earned so He may let them taste part of [the consequence of] what they have done that perhaps they will return [to righteousness]".
[Ar-Rum:41]
So He, exalted is He, clarified that Shirk and sins are the cause of corruption appearing in the world, whether it is due to the actions of mankind, through their sins, their severing of ties, their injustice to each other, and their fighting, or due to what comes from Allah, the Exalted, because of their sins, such as drought and abundance of fear, death, the decrease of resources, the decrease of crops, and everything that has afflicted and afflicts the Muslims are but the fruits of the negligence of most of them in many matters of their religion.
