HTW Berlin, the largest university of applied sciences in Berlin, offers an 18-month full-time Master's degree programme in "International and Development Economics" (MIDE), taught entirely in English. Designed for students from developing and transitional countries as well as from Germany and other developed countries with a special interest in the economic challenges facing "third world" countries, the programme prepares students to work in areas related to global economic affairs and development.

The Master's programme in International and Development Economics has been established for students who have a first degree in economics/business administration or in other social sciences with a focus on economics. It is designed to enhance understanding of development economics, the international economic context in which socio-economic development takes place, and of key sectors and policy areas that are relevant for developing countries, with a particular focus on agriculture, financial institutions, and public enterprises. In order to understand the challenges of formulating current development policies, the programme covers both the principal theoretical debates as well as specific contemporary examples of strategies, policies, and projects.

The University of Otago offers a range of undergraduate entrance scholarships that recognise academic excellence, leadership qualities, ethnicity, financial hardship, disability, and excellence in sporting or cultural pursuits.

If you are going to be living in a residential college, your scholarship will help with your costs, or possibly cover those costs entirely. If you have a fees-free first year, you can use your scholarship for your fees in your second year of study. If you are an international student, your scholarship will be paid as a credit to your tuition fees.

You don't need to worry about applying for specific scholarships. Based on the information you provide in your application, you will be considered for all applicable scholarships and awards open on the date we receive your application.

This is an award of up to £12,000 for prospective international undergraduate students.
This is an award of up to £12,000 for prospective new international undergraduate students.

The award is £3,000 per annum, for a maximum of 4 years total study. Successful recipients will have the award deducted from their tuition fees.

Eligibility
To be eligible you must meet all of the following conditions:

Be classified as International (Overseas) fee status by Abertay University.
Registered as a full-time student for your first undergraduate degree.
Have met all the academic conditions attached to your offer of admission for entry to the University as a new full-time student in September.
Be studying on campus at the University.
Students who are admitted with Advanced Entry into Level 2 or above, and who meet the above conditions, will also be eligible for this Award.

The Award will be awarded for each year of your undergraduate degree, up to a maximum of 4 years, while you are studying in Dundee. The Award will not be awarded for any year you spend studying abroad or working in industry.

How to Apply
No separate application form is required, and you will be assessed for the scholarship based on your application for study, and your personal statement. If you meet all the eligibility criteria and are awarded an Abertay International Undergraduate Scholarship you will be notified by us by email following your offer of study. The UdeM exemption scholarship program is designed to support international candidates in their university studies. Since the fall of 2020, it is possible to benefit from an exemption from the tuition fees normally charged to international students.

You could benefit from the UdeM exemption scholarship if you are admitted to a degree program, namely a bachelor's degree.

The ETH Zurich Postdoctoral Fellowship programme (ETH Fellows) supports incoming postdoctoral researchers at ETH Zurich. The programme is intended to foster young researchers who have already demonstrated scientific excellence in the early stages of their careers. This prestigious early career programme is geared towards high potential academics with 40-50% of the fellows securing a professorship within a few years after the fellowship
Eligibility
At the time of the submission deadline, applicants must hold a doctorate (PhD) or will complete their doctorate within the next six months. Applicants with the doctorate (PhD) must have obtained it a maximum of two years prior to the submission deadline. The decisive date is the date of the examination or defense/viva voce.

Applicants who have not yet completed their doctorate must submit a certification of the planned date of their defense signed by the advisor or department chair. The examination or defense/viva voce must have been completed by the time the fellowship is started (and no later than six months after the deadline

The duration of an ETH Fellowship is two years and cannot be prolonged. The fellowship covers the fellow's salary (100%, based on ETH standards). ETH Fellows are also entitled to CHF 10,000 per year for research expenses, including travel/mobility allowances and research cost contributions. The budget allocated for travel and research costs may not be used to cover salary costs, and vice versa

Submission deadlines are 1 March and 1 September at 17:00 Swiss local time each year.

The University of Malta seeks to attract top quality students from countries outside the European Union/EEA and is offering tuition fee waivers of 40 to 100 per cent awarded to most deserving students. Bench fees for certain programmes may still apply. The fee waiver will apply for the normal duration of the programme being followed. If extensions of the period of study are required, these may not necessarily be eligible for a fee waiver.

Only applicants who have been accepted unconditionally to read for a Master by research or a Ph.D. on a full-time and part-time basis are eligible to apply.

Professional doctorates and MBA-type programmes are not eligible.

Scholarships and other funding options for master's programmes at Stockholm University.

Stockholm University Scholarship Scheme
The Scholarship Scheme at Stockholm University is aimed at especially qualified students and covers the whole tuition fee for a Master's programme at Stockholm University. This means that students will need to cover their living costs.

To be eligible for the scholarship, a student must be:

a citizen from a country outside of EU/EEA/Switzerland and be required to pay tuition fees for studies.
admitted to a Master's programme at Stockholm University in the first (international) admission round.
The selection will be based on the academic merits of the applicants and priority will be given to students with Stockholm University as their first choice on universityadmissions.se.
