The first is a dowel pinned maple box, intended for heirloom use or as a portable altar. The Futhark and “Ek Skapa Lífa Mér,” Old Norse for “I Shape My Life,” are burned in runes around the lid. It measures 16” by 8”.

The second is a local cedar reshaped into this double hinged box, 24”x9”. A removable solar motif cut from the same tree crowns the box - also intended as heirloom box or mobile altar.
