缅甸星期五（3月28日）发生强烈地震，造成上百人死亡。中国外交部说，目前尚未收到中国公民在地震中死亡的报告。中国外交部星期六（29日）在官网以发言人答记者问的形式说，中方高度关注缅甸地震灾情，对缅方表示诚挚慰问。中方希望并相信，缅甸政府和人民将早日克服困难，重建家园。发言人指出，地震发生后，中国驻缅甸使领馆第一时间启动应急机制并发布领事提醒，全面了解核实当地中国机构、企业和人员安全情况。目前尚未收到中国公民死亡的报告。发言人说，“我们对缅甸人民遭受的地震灾害感同身受”，中方愿根据缅方需要，尽己所能…
