中国社科院官网显示，石泰峰已接替谢伏瞻出任社科院长、党组书记。
石泰峰曾于2001年至2010年任中央党校副校长，之后历任江苏省长、宁夏区委书记、内蒙区委书记。星岛日报引述消息指，预料石泰峰将于明年3月选任全国政协副主席。
中组部副部长李小新已任中央编办主任，接替周祖翼（1965年1月生，原同济大学党委书记）；星岛日报指，周祖翼将接替张纪南（1957年2月生）任人社部长。
