台湾拟自2月20日起松绑室内口罩令，仅医疗机构、老幼院舍、公共交通工具继续强制全程戴口罩。
此前，行政院2月4日同意常态化复开“小三通”，但仍仅限金马民众及陆配搭乘，其他人往来两岸仍须使用京沪蓉厦四个民航航点。陆委会解释说，“中国大陆疫情仍不透明”因此暂不恢复经“小三通”中转入台，“政府政策是在疫情可控前提下，逐步恢复两岸人民间健康有序的交流，进而舒缓台海的紧张情势”，后续将持续滚动评估检讨，稳步使交流恢复常态。
北京，国台办发言人8日说，已通过《海峡两岸空运协议》渠道致函台方，促请复航“台胞反映较为集中”的16城两岸航点。发言人说，以疫情为借口阻挡两岸交流违背民意不得人心，呼吁台方尽快恢复两岸民众正常交流往来。目前，港澳籍人士因观光事由申请入台仅限团队游，而大陆籍人士仍不可因观光事由申请入台。
