当地时间3月26日，韩国首尔高等法院对韩最大在野党共同民主党党首李在明涉嫌违反《公职选举法》案作出二审宣判，推翻一审判决结果，判定李在明无罪。
二审宣判之后，如果检方继续上诉至韩国最高法院大法院，且大法院终审确定李在明刑期，李在明将面临被剥夺选举权、进而无法参选下届总统的命运。
目前韩国总统尹锡悦弹劾案正在宪法法院进行审理，如果尹锡悦被罢免，韩国将在60天内举行提前大选，选出新任总统。而如果韩国大法院在提前大选前没有就李在明案作出最终判决，李在明参选总统之路将亮起绿灯。因此李在明身负案件的审理进展和目前总统尹锡悦弹劾案的结果宣判相互交织，将共同影响未来韩国政治走向。
