دعا إلى التوحيد، وقام الليل حتى تورّمت قدماه، وكان يستغفر في المجلس الواحد سبعين مرة أو مائة مرة، ويصلي النوافل ويحث عليها، وإذا مرض يرقي نفسه ويقرأ المعوذات وينفث، كان يتواضع، فقد قيل له: يَا خَيْرَ الْبَرِيَّةِ، فَقَال: «ذَاكَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ» [رواه مسلم (2369)]، ويقول: «لاَ تُطْرُونِي، كَمَا أَطْرَتْ النَّصَارَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ» [متفق عليه]، ويردف الصغير وراءه ويعلمه التوحيد: «احْفَظِ اللَّهَ يَحْفَظْكَ ... » [رواه الترمذي (2516)، وصححه الألباني]، ويعلم أصحابه ما ينفعهم: «يَا مُعَاذُ، وَاللَّهِ إِنِّي لَأُحِبُّكَ، لَا تَدَعَنَّ أَنْ تَقُولَ دُبُرَ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ: اللَّهُمَّ أَعِنِّي عَلَى ذِكْرِكَ وَشُكْرِكَ وَحُسْنِ عِبَادَتِكَ» [رواه ابن خزيمة (751)]، وربط على بطنه الحجر من الجوع، وأوذي في الله، واختبأ في الغار، وهاجر وترك بلده، وكسرت رباعيته، وأوذي في عرضه وأهله، وسقط عن فرسه فأصيب شقه، ومات جميع أولاده في حياته إلا فاطمة، وما ترك دينارًا ولا درهمًا ولا شاةً ولا بعيرًا، صلى الله عليه وسلم. #صلى_الله_عليه_وسلم #ﷺ
