财联社10月21日电，据美联社当地时间10月20日报道，美国国家环境保护局（EPA）表示正在调查密西西比州政府机构是否因为拒绝为改善供水系统提供资金而歧视该州非洲裔人口占多数的首府城市。据悉，8月下旬的暴雨加剧了密西西比州首府杰克逊的主要水资源处理设施问题，导致杰克逊的大多数家庭和企业在8月底和9月初连续几天没有自来水。
