Godโ€™s presence is not always in the loud, the dramatic, or the overwhelmingโ€”sometimes, His Spirit moves like the gentle wind, quietly drawing hearts together.

At Pentecost, the Holy Spirit empowered the Apostles to speak to every nationโ€”not to create uniformity, but to build unity in diversity. Today, that same Spirit is at work in the Church and in each of our lives, guiding us through our unique gifts, uniting us in faith, and sending us out in mission.

In a world marked by noise and division, evangelisation doesnโ€™t always have to be loud. It can be as simple and as powerful as staying faithful, offering love, and building bridges wherever we are.

Let us be that quiet yet steady whisper of Christโ€™s love, reaching others through our compassion and sincerity.

Today on Pentecost, we celebrate the powerful moment when Jesus fulfilled His promise and sent us the Holy Spirit โ€” our Advocate, our Comforter, our Guide. But who ๐˜ช๐˜ด the Holy Spirit, really?

The Holy Spirit is the divine artist of the Church, pouring out gifts, charisms on each of us through baptism. These arenโ€™t random talents. They are supernatural gifts given with purpose: to teach, to heal, to encourage, to lead, to serve. Whether bold or quiet, seen or unseen, every gift matters.

Your charism is a clue to your vocation. Godโ€™s personal invitation to love and serve in a unique way. Just as no flower alone makes a spring, the Church comes alive when all our gifts blossom in harmony. This Pentecost, let us rediscover the Holy Spiritโ€™s presence and rejoice in the beautiful, Spirit-filled diversity of the Body of Christ.

As the Church celebrates the Jubilee of the Holy See in Rome today, we bear in mind the vital role of the Petrine See not just within the Universal Church, but also in the world. The pope, together with the Roman Curia and all those working at the Vatican, work to unite and shepherd the Universal Church. These men and women aid the Holy Father in the mission entrusted to him, and help represent the Churchโ€™s interests in global affairs.

Let us pray for them who have served within the Holy See diligently with the charisms gifted to them by God and in accordance to His will, without seeking recognition or praise. Let us also consider how we can participate in the mission of the Church with the charisms gifted to us by God, in conjunction with the efforts of the Holy See.

Ordinary Time isnโ€™t a break from holiness; itโ€™s where the quiet work of grace takes root.

After Pentecost, the Apostles stepped out in faith. Now itโ€™s our turn. What if this season, we made an Ordinary Time resolution to spend just five minutes a day or half an hour a week asking the Holy Spirit:
After Pentecost, the Apostles didnโ€™t stay in the Upper Room.

They ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฐ๐˜ท๐˜ฆ๐˜ฅ. And so must we. In a world aching with pain, confusion, and division, God calls us to speak the name of Jesus with courage, compassion, and love.

Some days in parenting feel like a blurโ€”the noise, the mess, the endless โ€œMom!โ€ or โ€œDad!โ€ Itโ€™s easy to feel stretched thin, like youโ€™re just trying to make it to bedtime. But tucked inside those messy, ordinary moments are quiet reminders of what truly matters.

Our children call us to be more patient, more generous, more present. They invite us to grow, not just as parents, but as people learning to love more like Christ.

Every meltdown at bedtime, every tired โ€œokay,โ€ every unexpected hug, these arenโ€™t just moments to survive. Theyโ€™re shaping something eternal in us.

Youโ€™re not just getting through the day. Youโ€™re being transformed. And this journey you're walking with your child? Itโ€™s holy ground.

In 1962, due to overwhelming financial hardship, her birth mother made the painful decision to give her up for adoption. Monica never went searching. But she prayed.

And God, in His gentle, providential way, began weaving a story only He could write. Through her vocation in Opus Dei, Monica was drawn deeper into her faith and closer to the heart of God. It was within that same spiritual family that she met Christina, a woman who had quietly carried the memory of a sister given away.

No prayer is wasted. No hope is in vain. He is always at work, even in the silence.
