法律學者戴大為教授（Michael C. Davis）的最新著作《Freedom Undone: the Assault on Liberal Values and Institutions in Hong Kong》，探討自2019 年抗爭運動、2020 年《國家安全法》以至 2021 年「愛國者治港」選舉制度以來，北京日益加劇的于預和打壓如何令香港失去法律制衡和公眾問責，並蠶食香港的司法制度及基本人權。香港政府亦計畫今年内通過 23 條立法，增加叛國罪、間諜罪和其他任意定義的罪行，因此深入討論現時和未來針對國家安全的立法，對香港司法制度及人權有甚麼影響，更顯迫切。 是次新書分享座談由國際特赦組織英國分會及Resilience Innovation Lab合辦，將以英語進行。除了作者戴大為教授本人，我們更邀得香港大律師黃瑞紅，及美國喬治城大學亞洲法中心研究員黎恩灝博士一起討論。

That strategy is the acquisition of a value-priced company by a growth company. Using the growth company's higher-priced stock for the acquisition can produce outsized revenue and earnings growth. Even better is the use of cash, particularly in a growth period when financial aggressiveness is accepted and even positively viewed.he key public rationale behind this strategy is synergy - the 1+1=3 view. In many cases, synergy does occur and is valuable. However, in other cases, particularly as the strategy gains popularity, it doesn't. Joining two different organizations, workforces and cultures is a challenge. Simply putting two separate organizations together necessarily creates disruptions and conflicts that can undermine both operations.

Secure video calling is in high demand. As an alternative to Zoom, many people are using end-to-end encrypted apps such as WhatsApp, FaceTime or Signal to speak to friends and family face-to-face since coronavirus lockdowns started to take place across the world. There’s another option—secure communications app Telegram just added video calling to its feature set, available on both iOS and Android. The new feature is also super secure—like Signal and WhatsApp and unlike Zoom (yet), video calls will be end-to-end encrypted.
